Roberta Wagner is the Senior Vice President of Regulatory and Scientific Affairs at the International Dairy Foods Association. Prior to joining IDFA, Roberta served as Vice President of Regulatory and Technical Affairs for the Consumer Brands Association. Roberta joined the association world after 33 years of public service in the federal government, 28 years at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration where she focused in the areas  in the human and animal food, followed by 5 years at USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. Roberta was selected for the senior executive service and held SES level leadership positions in both FDA and FSIS during the last half of her federal career. In both agencies, Roberta provided leadership to the field inspectorates, directed food borne outbreak responses and recalls and engaged in policymaking.  She ended her federal career as lead for the Office of Policy at FSIS.  

Roberta is passionate about food safety and preventing food related illnesses.  She presently sits on the Board of STOP Foodborne Illness.
